In memory of Tetuatapunui Kea

23rd July 1963 - 21st August 2005

Tetuatapunui Kea was a very special human-being. This world was very lucky to have a person like her and her energy embedded into this world.

She is the daughter of Teura I Teata Maka Kea and the late Ngaeikura (Tata Puruto). She has 5 brothers, Teura Kea Jnr,  Mataiapo,  Akaiti, Terepaii, Tukurangi and 5 sisters, Ngaeva O Te Rangi , the late Tetuatapunui, the late Rimaati, Tupuna, Ngaeikura O Te Rongo and May.

Tetua was a very loving sister to 10 siblings and loved her only child Blake dearly. If anything needed to be done, she’d be on it straight away. Born in Ngatiarua, Atiu, she made the move over to New Zealand and lived with her sisters. She loved cleaning and keeping everything spotless. Although her speech was not perfect, her actions were very pure to her and those around her.

Her energy and tireless effort in this world is unmatched. She cared for every soul around her and smiled along the journey. A very active mother to her son Blake, we feel her love through Blake and miss her dearly. Rest in love Tetua, your memory will live on forever

    Hi family,

It’s Nico here. I am the owner and creator of AfterPix. I’m happy you’ve made it this far to visit my dearest Aunty Tetua.

This is my tribute to our family, if you’d like to leave a comment to let our family know you have visited Tetua, that’ll be awesome. Don’t forget to give Tetuas resting place fresh water and flowers.

    Meitaki Ranuinui,
    Nico Maka-Kea (nephew of Tetua)
